Region Type
- Fortress-city lost to arcane collapse; ideal for dungeon delves
Description
Once Albion’s most ambitious city-fortress, Caer Avalwrath fell not to invasion, but to a catastrophic arcane implosion. The fortress walls remain partially intact, but below them stretch miles of fractured halls, buried sanctums, and arc-fused chambers. Entire towers are turned sideways underground. Portals flicker where stairs once stood. The deeper one delves, the less stable magic becomes — and the more the walls seem to remember intruders.
No one has reached its heart and returned.
Optional Traits
Collapse Zones
Before the game begins, each player marks one terrain feature in their half as fragile.
The first time a model moves onto it, roll a d20:
- 1–5: The floor collapses. The model falls into a lower level (removed from play for one turn, then returns next round within 3” of where they fell).
- 6–20: No effect.
Residual Glyphs
When a model ends its activation within 1” of a wall, roll a d20:
- 1: The glyph activates violently — model suffers a +3 magic attack.
- 2–10: A flicker of magic warps space — shift the model 6” in a random direction. Model cannot end in impassible or solid terrain. If model would end in this terrain, the model is not moved.
- 11–20: No effect.
