14. The Dead Deep

Region Type

  • Ancient catacombs / ley-shattered tomb halls / arcane underworld

Description

Beneath the soil of Albion runs a vast labyrinth of forgotten crypts and ossuaries—known to necromancers and warlocks as the Dead Deep. Recently, leyline ruptures have torn through the subterranean passages, infusing stagnant death with wild magic. Bones shift. Names whisper. The halls echo not with footfalls, but with the sound of stone remembering.

Treasure lies buried in sealed vaults. But so do other things.

Optional Traits

Grave Authority

Whenever an Undead creature within 6” of an unclaimed treasure token activates, roll a d20:
  • 1–5: The creature is compelled — it must move toward the nearest treasure token instead of making other movement than activation.
  • 6–20: No effect; acts normally.
Crown of Dust

At the end of each creature phase, roll a d20:
  • On a 1–4, choose one non-Animal corpse on the table (friendly, enemy, or neutral) that is not already removed.
  • That corpse animates as a Zombie under GM control, placed prone and activating next creature phase.
