Region Type
- Swamp / necrotic wetland / life-death convergence
Description
Fenmarsh Hollow is a drowned, reeking basin where the lines between life and death unravel. The waters bubble with ancient gasses. Mold and fungus grow in the shapes of bones. Necromantic energy seeps from below, tainting the living and animating the dead. Some say the Hollow is where Albion’s underworld once breached the surface — a wound that never healed.
Even the trees here bleed sap that smells like blood, and the croaking of frogs is sometimes mistaken for whispering voices.
Optional Traits
Marrowmire
- All Undead and Constructs ignore movement penalties from difficult terrain in this region.
Rotbound Bloom
At the end of each turn, roll a d20:
- On a 1–3, the swamp erupts in necrotic bloom.
- Every living model within 3” of a water feature or bog terrain must make a Will Roll (TN 14) or suffer –1 Fight for the rest of the game as the corruption leeches strength from their limbs.
