13. The Sunken Henge City

Region Type

  • Half-submerged ruin / tidal tomb complex / storm-bound mystery

Description

Visible only when the tides recede and storms break, the Sunken Henge City is a drowned monument to forgotten ambition. Great stone circles rise crookedly from brine-filled plazas. Labyrinthine passageways vanish beneath the waves, while air pockets and shattered domes trap arcane energies and breathless bodies alike.

Those who find the city often say it shouldn’t exist. Those who return rarely remember how they escaped.

Optional Traits

Stormveil

At the start of the game, roll a d20. On a 1–3, the storm rolls back in early:

  • All line of sight is limited to 12” for the first two rounds of the game.

Ancient Mechanisms

The first time a treasure token is picked up each round, roll a d20:

  • 1–3: Trapped — the model suffers a +4 magical shooting attack from a hidden arcane trap.
  • 4–12: No effect.
  • 13–20: A hidden stair, tunnel, or path is revealed — place a new treasure token within 6” of the original location (one use per round).
