Region Type
- High valley / mist-veiled plain / dream-haunted threshold
Description
Watcher’s Vale lies high in the eastern hills of Albion, a windless basin perpetually cloaked in whispering mists. Travelers report vivid dreams after passing through — some foretelling death, others revealing things they could not have known. It’s said the mists themselves listen, and that those who stay too long begin to answer.
Rings of standing stones, half-hidden cairns, and mirrored pools dot the valley. Many believe the Vale to be a place between places — where dreams bleed into waking, and memories are not always your own.
Optional Traits
Dream-Haze
At the start of the game, each warband secretly chooses one of their models (excluding leaders). That model begins the game in a dream-state:
- The model cannot activate on turn 1.
- On turn 2, it activates normally and gains +1 Will for the remainder of the game.
- If the model is struck by any attack before it activates, the effect ends and the bonus is lost.
Whispering Veil
When any model rolls a natural 1 on a Will Roll, roll a d20:
- 1–5: The model is rattled by voices — it cannot be activated next round.
- 6–15: No additional effect.
- 16–20: The veil grants a glimpse — model gains +1 to their next Will Roll.
